What We Believe

What We Believe

We believe God has uniquely made each one of us.  However, sin has been a part of the life of each one of us.  We need forgiveness from the Holy God and He has offered that to us through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.  Through Christ's life of obedience, his death on the cross and his glorious resurrection, He has won for us the forgiveness of all our sin.  We believe that we have been set free from the eternal consequences of our sinfulness through the work of Christ as revealed to His people by the power of the Holy Spirit in our life.

The Holy Spirit who inspired the authors of the Bible brings us to faith and also guides us in discerning His will.  The Holy Spirit works in us and through us.  He uses the Word of God and the Sacraments to draw us to him and to keep us in the Faith.  God works through Baptism and Holy Communion to give us new life and the assurance of His love and forgiveness.

God blesses us in order that we might be a blessing to others.  As Christians we are members of the Body of Christ and love one another--both Christians and non Christians.  We believe that in Him we have New Life.  We seek to live our New Life in such a way that He is honored and others are served.

We invite others to join us in this New Life of honor and service.  We are blessed to be a blessing.
